The wetting of 12Cr18Ni10Ti and EK-173 reactor steels by an eutectic melt of PbBi with lithium  under conditions of a vacuum and an argon atmosphere is studied in a wide range of temperatures. A tendency is observed toward the improved wetting of 12Cr18Ni10Ti steel with a higher lithium content in a eutectic melt of PbBi. It is found that an eutectic PbBi alloy with 20.86 at % of Li content tends to improve the wetting process under the conditions of a vacuum and an argon environment.

The quantum interpretation of classical radiation reaction coming from the near electromagnetic self-force (the so-called “Schott term”) is given for the first time. The analysis is based on the Landau–Lifshitz equation for classical ultrarelativistic motion including radiation reaction effects for the case of channeling radiation in oriented crystals in the wide region of electron energies from few MeV and up to hundreds GeV.

A cornerstone of physics, Maxwell‘s theory of electromagnetism, apparently contains a fatal flaw. The standard expressions for the electromagnetic field energy and the selfmass of an electron of finite extension do not obey Einstein‘s famous equation, E = mc2, but instead fulfill this relationwith a factor 4/3 on the left-hand side. Furthermore, the energy and momentum of the electromagnetic field associated with the charge fail to transform as a four-vector.
